A day for counsellors and psychotherapists to explore art making as a ‘way of knowing’ ourselves and our clients in therapy. We will engage in the playfulness that art can offer to process material from clinical work, as well as discover how to use image making to support self-care.
Focussed upon our own art making, the day will include short presentations and discussion in different size groups. You do not need to consider yourself to be ‘good’ at art to attend, all that is required for this study day is an openness to using art media as a tool for reflection and expression.
As well as giving you 5 hours of CPD, the venue of the Quaker Meeting House in Hereford offers a peaceful environment in which to take time for yourself, enjoy exchanges with colleagues and relax over a shared lunch.
Cost: £60; student/concessions £35;
members of MCS £15
This includes art materials, refreshments and a shared soup and salad lunch.
