Counsellors across Herefordshire

Professional involvement and support

If you are a counsellor or psychotherapist, working in mental health in or near Herefordshire, or if you share a professional interest in,  mental health and therapy, you could support us in numerous ways joining us as:-

a) part of our Professional Associate Network

b) a member of our Reflective Practice Group

c) a Trustee or Board member

b) a staff member perhaps on clinical placement

MCS is a membership-based organisation which works in a cooperative manner. There are several different membership types.  All our members have voting rights at our Annual General Meeting, are invited to attend our Quarterly Business Meetings, and contribute to the growth and development of our charity. We send out regular newsletters to all our members.

Different types of membership include:

Professional Associate Network (PAN) members are already working clinically, independently of MCS. They can join MCS by paying an annual fee and can get involved in the development of the charity. PANs have access to our CPD sessions, our RPG, study days and supervision, for a reduced fee.

Reflective Practice Group (RPG) members are MCS staff, PANs, other counsellors/psychotherapists from across Herefordshire.

Board members or Trustees voluntarily give their time to contribute to the overall management, finance and development of the service as Directors of the Company Limited by Guarantee and Trustees of the Charity.

Staff members providing a service to the organisation which may be clinical, management or administrative. They may be paid or offer their services on a voluntary basis, often on clinical placement from their training organisations.
