In 2026 we will be celebrating 15 years of Marches Counselling Service (MCS).

That’s 15 years providing affordable, professional counselling in and around Herefordshire.

In that time we have been consistent in applying our ethics to the way we operate, being accountable and mindful of our finances and charitable status, making our funds stretch as far as possible whilst not compromising our professionalism.

We have avoided having a waiting list, providing as quick a transition from an individuals initial enquiry for counselling or psychotherapy, to assessment, to counselling.

We have continued to develop our assessment of a new clients issues and concerns which enables us to match them to our most appropriate counsellor and therpeautic approaches.

We have extended our services to Hubs in locations around Herefordshire including Bromyard and Ross embraced the provision of online counselling where it is most appropriate.

We have grown to a total of 5 supervision groups which support up to 5 counsellors each at different levels of qualification, ensuring our counsellors can continue to learn and grow, and have consistent fortnightly access to their supervisor.

We have expanded our CPDs, study days and Reflective Practice Group for counsellors and psychotherapists working for MCS and across Herefordshire.
